G29 AC Power best controller for stock motor?
Can anyone advise on the best controller for a G29 AC Powered cart. The intent is to keep the stock ac motor and put a 3" lift and 22"s on it. I run street and just need to get up around 20-25 mph. Thanks, Mike C.

Re: G29 AC Power best controller for stock motor?
(disregard this part)
No controller upgrades exist as far as I know. Does it go 19 mph now? If so, I would suggest ordering the 10.5:1 ratio gears for a RXV. They fit in a Yamaha axle with just 2 new bearings needed to retrofit. I suggest the 10.5 ratio because it keeps good hill climbing power better than a 8:1 ratio set would. It puts the cart right at 25-26 mph too. I will list the bearings needed in a moment. Yamaha bearings - 93306-20468 Common number - 6204 (disregard this part) Read below. WAIT! I didn't read too fully I guess. If your cart already goes 19mph, the 22" tires will already get you well into the range of speed you are looking for, no other mods needed... |

Re: G29 AC Power best controller for stock motor?
Greetings CGtech,
Top speed is currently a smoking 12 MPH. Looks like I should have the factory controller speed upgrade first. Can I ship my controller to someone to have it flashed, or do I have to take the cart in to a dealer? Thanks, |

The dealer is the only one with the hardware & software to program it. Controller is made by Toyota, and they have it locked up pretty tight.
