1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
I have a 1999 Yamaha G19 and would normally click when I turn the switch on along with when I hit the gas pedal. I now have nothing.
I have 38v at the batteries. My headlights work and when I put it in reverse it still buzzes. I checked the voltage at the switch wiring housing and have 20v when switch is off and when switch is on I have 20v at the other wire. Any suggestions or thoughts?? |

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Any suggestions other than changing the switch out that seems to be working?

Aren't these 48 volt carts? I would expect to see 48 volts on both sides of the tow/run switch and the key switch.

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
It's 36v and I thought it was crazy, but will check the switch again for only reading like 20v. I am assuming when testing the solenoid small terminals, I would get the 38v on each side when the switch is on?
Could you advise on how to test the foot pedal micro switch? Is it under the floor mat? Thank you everyone for your input! |

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Start with the tow/run switch. Be sure you have 36 volts on both sides when in the run position. Next test the key switch for the same 36 volts on both sides when key is on.

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Ok I have four post on my forward neutral reverse switch. They all read 13v a piece. The key switch for some reason reads 20v.
Solenoid reads all 0 but still connected to battery pack. |

The gas pedal switch does not click? Can I cut the wires and attach them together to see if it’s the microswitch.

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
G19 is always 48v. And it can be identified by a F/R switch below the cupholders on dash. A 36v G16 has a F/R lever by drivers right leg.
