Checking out a Yamaha G1-E
Afternoon everyone! I wanted to check and see if anyone had any insight or opinions on the G1 Electric. I am going to check out a 1980 version. I own an 82 G1-Gas. So the body i'm fairly familiar with. It would be the engine/drive train that would be new.
I see they are 36v. What type of top speed should i be expecting in stock condition? Is there any known failure points i should check? Any other information would be great! Thanks! |

Re: Checking out a Yamaha G1-E
12mph. Stock wiper arm speed control contacts wear out (should not make ratcheting sounds when pushing the pedal). Solenoids sometimes fail, and are sometimes expensive to replace.
