“Normal” sound of a 13hp Kawasaki

Does this motor sound normal? It sounds like the bottom end is a little noisy but it could also be the primary clutch. I haven’t worked on many gas carts.

I would be leaning toward the primary clutch being your noise maker. I've heard rod knocks & cam knocks on those and both were "deeper" than that noise. Also, it seems to diminish as the primary closes.

I tend to agree, it was pretty quiet at higher rpms. Does it warrant pulling the clutch to go through it?

I would go ahead and take a look. To make that noise it sounds like something has come loose inside. better to find out while it still functions than to chance doing more damage inside. Those clutches are expensive, do what you can to keep it working.
