Drop Spindle Snapped....Is Drop Axle Stronger?

Drop spindle lift kit I bought last year snapped one of the spindles. This was a Pro-fit 5" lift kit.

Since I need to replace it, should I use a drop-axle kit? Are they stronger? Any recommendations?

This is for a 2014 48V TXT.

I dont have any experience with EZGo lift kits but i would say yes a drop axle kit would be better/stronger than a spindle lift.

I would just go ling travel. rides sooooooo much better.

If you wanted to save some money you could just replace the spindle. From the second pic it looks like it had been cracked for awhile. Possibly a manufacturing defect. If this was just a freak accident and you don't think your rough on the rig I would try the spindle first before you spent the cash on the whole setup for the axle. Just my two cents.

Would love too but they all seem to be over $1K.

We only use the cart to ride around the neighborhood.

Not sure I can find just the spindle since this was a kit.

I had a jakes spindle lift and one snapped. I was able to order a new one from jakes. The cost was almost as much as the whole new kit. Try and find out who made the lift and give them a call.

I've owned both drop axle and spindle lift, as far as ride comfort goes I can't say i prefer one or the other for me they ride the same but I think the drop axle is a way more solid design.

That crack started awhile back then finally cracked the rest of the way leaving you where you are.
You can tell by how dirty part of the crack is then clean part is final crack.

Almost looks as is suspension was binding at some point as suspension going up and down. Could be mismatched parts that caused problem.
Might want to check suspension travels up and down freely once part replaced.
