Default Mr. Heater won't stay lit- anyone else?

I have a brand new Mr. Heater golf cart propane heater. I can't move 10 feet without it going out. I don't have an enclosure, but wind hasn't been the issue. It's solidly mounted, but just the slightest movement will extinguish it. I am thinking I will bypass the tip-over safety feature and see if that does the trick. Anybody done that or had any luck keeping one going? Thanks.

I can’t be of much help troubleshooting it but I can confirm that it should stay lit driving with no enclosure, mine does.

yeah my first thought was an overly sensitive tip over sensor.

there are videos on YouTube that show you how to bypass it. worth a shot! it solved my big buddy heater issue, i had it mounted to my wall in the garage and any slight vibration from the opposite side of the wall in the mud room (door handle hitting the wall for example) would trip it..

I hated having to open up a brand new heater, but it was useless unless I did. I pulled the tip over switch and connected the 2 wires together with a butt connector. Works nicely now. I'll have to do my best to not tip over. Thanks for the input.
