Default CC DS gas - dies when driving - runs fine in service mode

Have a 2000 DS gas. Starts fine and will run strong for about 100 feet and then dies. If you hold the pedal to the floor is will start and immediately die repeatedly until you let it set for a minute or 2. If you switch it to service mode it runs fine and does not die at all even if you immediately switch it right after it dies in normal mode. Is this a governor issue?

I have already disconnected the ground wire on the Rev limiter with no change.

Check for spark when it dies. I’ll bet it’s yellow or not there at all big disconnecting the rev limiter didn’t change anything I’d put money on a coil

Is there a reason that it runs fine in service mode. You can switch back and forth and it runs in service but not in normal mode.

There’s no load in the engine when it is in service mode. Making the engine run and making the engine move a 1000lb golf cart are 2 completely different things

Carry a spark spark plug and drive it. When it quits/dies you can quickly and easily plug the spark spark plug into the wire and hold it to a valve cover bolt and hit the gas. Look for the color of the spark. If it’s yellow or pale white, coil is a goner. If it’s bright blue and snaps good then may need to look elsewhere (compression, valves, carb, etc)

Check the vent tube on the carburetor.
Or float level, sounds like it's just plain running out of fuel and yes,
A motor that runs good under no load could run bad or out of fuel when a load is put on it.

Changed coil, carb and rev limiter is already disconnected. Fuel pump and lines are also new and flow of fuel to carb is good. Runs fine at half throttle but will die once you go to full throttle. Starts again at half throttle but will continue to cut out if you hold it to the floor. It you stop and set for a few seconds it will start and run again for a few feet at full throttle. The longer you set the longer it runs as if the bowl is filling with fuel but i am convinced it is not a fuel issue. Old carb and new carb have same results. Still runs fine in service mode at any throttle position and will run in normal mode with wheels off the ground (no load).
I am running out of ideas.

If it’s running fine at half throttle but dies at full throttle, that’s a different symptom than What your first post outlined, or am I reading incorrectly?

If this is correct and it runs great half throttle but falls on its face full throttle, try lightly pressing the choke button and see if it makes any difference

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Same symptoms as originally stated. Choke makes no difference.

Starting to think it is a flywheel or timing issue.
