Correct the spring is wound the other direction. You would need the spring from 92-96. Most dealers will not sell just the spring.

kinda what i thought too. the 96 and older clutches look just like the 97 and newer clutches, only difference seem s to be the spring and where the pucks (?) are. how hard is to take the clutch apart and replace spring under tension?

so, how does one buy a 92-96 driven clutch spring???

I normally have in stock, You can also buy through any CC dealer but it comes as a kit with new helix.

when i get back to working on my cart (it's been on hold) i'll need to talk to you about getting a spring, and a tapered shaft adpter. thanks for the info. it really has been very helpful. i 'm really looking forward to getting the cart back together.
