Default clutch spring question/concern

hey guys my rear clutch had broke on my 87 club car and im getting a used clutch from a member on here

well i NEED to use my old spring but i have a concern

how stiff should the spring be ?? on the rear clutch ??

very stiff, med stiff, ??

i can almost push it together is that good or bad
