Default waterproofing Pedal box, ITS switch for controller cart

I have had problems getting to the other side of our property when the creek is high- the Box gets wet and weird stuff happens for a while- starting on its own and the like-

HAs anyone come up with good suggestions besides not going to the other side of the creek?

Sometimes if you sit and look at it with a bottle of cold adult beverage after work- Ideas seem to come to you, None so far this week< I don't want to waste anymore good adult beverages on my own.
thank you

You could seal the top, but the main problem is going to be the ITS plunger area, when you depress the gas pedal, it slides into the box, which in return activates the microswitch to tell the controller to go, easy terms. This is going to be one of your main problems
