Default smokes under heavy load.....

So i did some maintenance on my 94 gasser plugs, fuel filter and new fuel lines( found some with cracks). cart starts good and runs pretty good but if I put it under and little bit of a load i.e. over a small hill it will start to smoke smoetimes bad if it is prolonged......... Is it time to rebuild the motor?????
Also what oil do you use in the crank case?( is there an ezgo specific) i ask this because the guy i bought it from was not very mechanically inclined and may have just put the wrong oil in (to thin) just wana go back with the right stuff.

The only way to truly know for sure is to do a compression check. Regular 10w30 should be good in that motor. Which motor do you have 295 or 350?

Look on the timing belt cover, there should be a tag, and in it you should see 292 or 350. I am not completely sure, do some searching and you will find it. I believe it should be above 140 to 150, though i could be wrong
