The Big Mystery Question

Is there anyone out there in this Big World of Golf Cart Nuts that has ever made a HEI Ignition work on a 4 cycle - 2 cylinder Ez -Go .
I've seen this Question asked many a Times , But - But no one has ever come up with an answer If you have it must be like the ( Bush Bean Recipe ) it must be top Secret. Me - I can't see how it could work .
A lot of you Guy's will read this But very few will Answer .

I too asked this question and was met with tumble weed blowing across my screen and the sound of crickets. I think that the HEI module is only capable of firing one coil and the 4 stroke engine is two coils in one package. Now if some brave soul would wire two HEI modules in parallel and use two separate coils maybe that would work.

The 4-cycle ignitor has built in timing advance. If you switch over to the HEI you will not have timing advance.

I'd like to see someone try this and see if it works. Keeping the stock ignitor will keep the timing advance, and the HEI modules will handle the added current of the HEI coils.

Before I Head for Town ,
What 2 HEI Module should I Look For & What 2 coils , This will all go on a 97 ezgo with a 295 engine. Gonna be a Bugger trying to figure out where to Mount all this Hardware.

The coil is a Neihoff brand, part number PT227 or equivalent. From a 1977 Chevy Nova inline six cylinder.

The ignition module is a standard GM 4-pin module.

You may not need the transistor and resistor. I would try this first.
