Well, hard to say. I bought my first cart before I knew much and thought I had a great deal. It ran and drove but not quite right. After my second rebuild (first was my fault) and probably 40-50 hrs total it is working good. I went over the top on mine though.

You will need approx. $500-$600 in parts to do it right and lots of time. I am not trying to talk you out of it, just giving you my experience. It is all relatively easy with the exception of pulling a seized clutch and flywheel. You will want a big hammer and a good impact wrench and lots of your choice of penetrating oil. I even had to use a torch on mine.

If you are located near MN I would buy it just for spare parts for mine.

Good Luck.

Kinda beginning to sound like a parts cart on craigslist.

We replaced it with one of these:

Well for me I would fix it up but there again I love turning junk into toys. If you don't relish the prospect of rebuilding the engine then it is time to move it on. BTW nice Polaris, after having repaired on for a friend I am now looking for a basket case to fix up.

It's a Bush Hog Trailhunter, and, yeah, it is nice.

But, you pretty much put it into perspective.

How much should I ask for the "86 E Z Go on craigslist?

& I told the buyer about this forum, that there are some very good, knowledgeable people here, who were ready to step me through the rebuild.
