$3000 vs $1500 ???
OK, so here's the deal.
Remember...I know just enough to be dangerous. A very reputable company and I are about to power my DIY three wheeler. For about $1500. I can get a SEPEX kit installed and be on my way. I'm told 16-18 hp and 30 mph should be no problem. For $3000. I can get an A/C indiction motor with twice the torque, 25hp and 30 - 40? mph. I'm not looking to fly with traffic, just be able to scoot along if necessary. Guys and Gals...what would you do and why would you do it? I see GEMS ramped up from 5 hp to 7.5. Is it me or is 16-18 and/or 25 hp really powerful? I guess I'm asking is the performance going to be that different for twice the investment? As always, Thank you. mj |

Re: $3000 vs $1500 ???
I would NOT want to take a 3 wheeler past 15mph.
