89 EZGo 2 cycle-spark plug coated with oil
I have an 89 ezgo 2 cycle. never attains full power. Gas/oil is mixed 128:1, fresh gas. Cart just putters and will move a little. Seems to move a little better in reverse. The spark plug when removed is coated with motor oil. you can wipe this off and the same thing happens again. I am not Mr. 2 cycle so I have no idea where this oil is coming from. Also while it is puttering it has alot of smoke. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of oil are you using? Premix or injected?

Most likely a ripped lower diaphragm in the fuel pump. It's allowing the fuel/oil mixture to be sucked directly into the cylinder causing a flooding condition.

premix with gas. 128:1 not sure where all this oil is coming from. Its 2 cycle so dont add oil anywhere but mixing with gas. This looks like pure motor oil.

128.1 mixed in can then poured in cart. 87 octane.

87 octane, oil not sure came with golf cart. label gone, did say ez-go if i remember correctly

How much oil to how much gas?

128.1 1 ounce of oil to 1 gal gas
