Batteries Boiling over!!!
I have bought a used EZ-GO golf cart. The people I bought it from said that the batteries were no good. When I got it home though I noticed that the battery cables were hooked up wrong. I fixed the cables and the car works now. When I hooked up the charger though all the batteries got hot and boiled over. I checked the charger and it is putting out the 36 volt like it is supposed to. The batteries are 6 years old, is it as simple as need new batteries or is the charger not working properly?

Re: Batteries Boiling over!!!
Did you possibly over water the batteries? Water level is only to be ~1/4 over the plates before charging.
