Problem with G29 Rear end noise
New owner of a 07 G29 Drive and I am hearing a noise from the rear end ONLY when I am going downhill. Uphill it is smooth and quiet. Downhill you hear a noise with every wheel turn, so I'm thinking a rear bearing? Any ideas?

Re: Problem with G29 Rear end noise
Thanks for the reply. I just checked and it is definitely not a white tag. It is a yellow one, so fingers crossed that's not the problem and its an easier and cheaper fix!

Re: Problem with G29 Rear end noise
Yellow good. You got high speed gears? (25mph). Check the spindle nuts. (in the center of the 4 wheel lug nuts, torque them to 75 ft/lb. Best to remove them & slime the axle splines with anti-seize.

I thought I had a rear end noise and it turned out to be the armature bushing in the motor being worn, does the cart make the noise when you take your foot off the accelerator? If so you can pull the motor and remove the bushing and shim it out with a penny or two. These guys here saved me a pile of cash, and I'm sure they can get your cart back to normal again

Re: Problem with G29 Rear end noise
I am having a problem with a 2008 drive rear end noise. It's almost a clicking noise. Any ideas what it could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had bad motors make noise, also have had loose lug nuts make a clicking sound.

Re: Problem with G29 Rear end noise
I was getting a similar noise. After checking, my Axle nuts were loose, and I had 1/2" lug nuts. I tightened the axle nuts, and replaced the 1/2" lug nuts with the correct 12mm ones, and no more noise. I also replaced the axle grease with CG's special blend.
