New guy - new cart
I was handed a 1993 G9A last Sunday and it runs like crap. I thought maybe a new carb would help but it didn't. It looks like the drive belt is slipping. Can I adjust that or just try a new belt?

Re: New guy - new cart
Post pics of the clutches (good detail). Might need a belt, but a bad belt is often caused by clutch problems. No drive belt adjustment is possible, it takes care of slack on its own. Also check motor mounts.

Re: New guy - new cart
Yep, motor mounts and adjustment cable are usually the cause of this. The rubber in the mounts are probably wore out and the cable may be broken or completely gone (look right under the air cleaner housing area for it. Bracket may even be broken. G9's are great carts!!
