Replacing one new battery in a old matched set
I have 2 carts , each has had one battery go bad recently. One carthas a set of batteries that are 6 years old and other just over 2 years. Is it ok to just install a new battery in each cart?
I was thinking of putting 2 new batteries in the cart with the newer 2yr set and move one older 2yr battery to the cart with older 6yr batteries. |

Re: Replacing one new battery in a old matched set
Well its not ideal but the set that is 2 years old you can probably get away with adding a new battery. If you add any new batteries to the 6 year old set they will be ruined. You may want to consider getting a new set in that case. the 2 year old set should be ok for a while. Basically if you add a battery to any set that that is over a year apart your risking it, say adding a new battery to a 2016 set is ok for example. adding a new battery to your 2015 set will be hard on your 2017 battery

Re: Replacing one new battery in a old matched set
Well, as stated above, it's not an ideal way to go. But, if you just can't do a whole set right now, your solution of moving a 2yr battery to the older set will work. Those 6yr batteries are just gonna keep dropping one-by-one, so you really should just bite the bullet....
