Scotty, are the Heims really necessary on the outside parallel links? I know they tend to be very noisey. You thing bolt and bushings would work on both ends of each bar? I was thinking about using 1" square tube I have laying around for the engine mount and parallel bars, weld some steel pipe on each end and use a tube of window urethane to create bushings. Should be soft enough to allow some twisting motion. Thoughts?

Being of limited experience in this field I decided to go with heim joints in both ends of the trailing arms because I was not sure that one would handle all of the twist generated by the 20" of travel the system allowed. If I was to build another I would probably go with a little less travel and one heim joint per side and of course one in the middle where the motor platform meets the frame

Are there heims that don't squeek? What about using ball joints on the axle end? Anyone ever try it?

If your Heim joints squeak, put a chain bar oil or a bicycle chain oil on them. Stops the squeak right now. If the heim joints wear out....replace 'em and do it again.

@scottyb - Would you mind posting a couple of more pic's of the attachment points at the axle as well as the top support for the shocks?

Also any info on the shocks/coils you used would be much appreciated.

Nice setup, by the way!
