I was thinking of these, however it may interfere with someone sitting on the rear seat, as I planned on mounting them on the roof at the rear pointing forward

With this amp you don't need a radio, just use your phone.

I'm using Tang Band subwoofer modules from parts express, Polk tweeters and two Bose cube speakers. Like I said I want a total stealth radio and the Tang speakers produce great bass at lower volumes but can't keep up with the tweeters and bose so we are experimenting with different hidden sub solutions. One idea is really out of the box... but I'll save that for the full write up

Here are a couple teaser pics.

Take a closer look at the pic in Post #2. I have made an aluminum bracket to hold the Altec apeaker. I pull out the drink holder and bolt it to that. This speaker has a 1/4-20 recessed-nut for mounting. I use a thumb screw from Ace to hold it to the bracket. Easily removable if you want to take it with you, otherwise it stays connected to the USB charger outlet.

A little pricey but we install them all the time. We usually use the 10 speaker model but those are 600. get this and a reducer and youre in business. We mount them where your over head console would be with a section of 1" angle iron.

They sound awesome, theyre water proof, and durable. Havent had one come back with issues yet, and we've ran these for a few years now.

This is what I use. Small but large sound with lots of base. Charges up on usb port and plays for 8 hours. Comes with suction and hook mount and usb charger wire. And its cheap!

Well most FM stations also have an internet radio station as well. I'm sure there is a music app that plays FM radio over wifi. I just use the music on my phone, Sirius, pandora or Spotify all the time. I hate terrestrial radio and their stupid commercials and edited song lyrics.

Turns out that it is way louder and cleaner sounding than anticipated so Furyous is helping me come up with a stealth sub solution.

Here is the amp under the seat. It's about the size of a VHS tape

I Ordered the Kenwood BT Amp

Did you need a amplifier wiring install kit also?

Since I'm not going from a head unit to the amp, I think all I'll really need is some 8 Gage wire for the amp?

Also how are you switching it on/off for power ?

Default Portable Blue Tooth Speaker Idea's ?

No install kit needed. It has 16ga power wires on the plug so that is what is going directly to my fuse panel. I have the fuse panel on a relay to the battery so when I shut my key off it kills everything 12v. I used the factory 12v reducer to power the relay coil. But it does have a built in on off function as well I think.
