Default 16 HP vanguard in Workhorse?

Seen a decent deal(I think) on a 16 HP Vangaurd locally. Not sure if this will be almost ‘bolt in’, or will there be significant mods to make it fit. Going in a 2000 Workhorse. Currently has a somewhat tired 350. Just trying to get the lowdown. Thanks.

how Much are they asking?
I don’t think you will be disappointed in this swap no matter the headaches to get it going

$400. Not sure how good of a deal it is, but I did look at the 420 Harbor Freight Predator engine at $360-has 14 HP. It has less HP, and Don’t know what kind of mods there are do increase it either. Think that’s a good deal?

Will I have to fab up a mounting platform for this? (Not really a problem, just checking) maybe a Little wiring?

Ok, a deal has been made.gonna trade a small pistol that I don’t shoot very much. Looks like the Briggs is coming home with me. Now what else do I need to swap work?

Is s new engine Engine cradle needed? Vegas Carts?
I’m really hoping I can use the stock clutch, as I just put a new smaller belt on it.

I’m guessing I’ll be able to use my stock gas tank, just removing the one that’s on the Briggs.
Plannng on trying to get everything together well in advance of pulling my 350 out.

I had a 1500x Terrain which is basically the same setup as a wh with the 16hp twin briggs. It came that way from the factory and a different cradle was required as the briggs is taller than the 350. Was a nice power increase but because of the height the engine sat lower in the chassis which won't work for my needs. I use mine for moving stuff around at the lake and launching small watercraft. Because it is so much lower I couldn't put something in the water without getting the motor, starter and belts wet. Figured it out the hard way and had to rebuild the starter.. Yes I could have lifted it more but just decided to go another route..

That’s a good deal with the tank and exhaust setup plus recoil setup.
The only thing I see is the oil filter setup. I have one of those or similar and it sticks out. They make a smaller one for about 20-30
