Default G8E runs slow

I recently purchased a 1994 G8E and it seems to be running slow. We checked the batteries (Trojan T-105 dated 1/13) and load test shows batteries are still good. Any suggestions for other electrical components to check? Also need service manual, is the G9 manual similar enough to use?

Many thanks!

Welcome to BGW

What speed is the cart running?. 5 year old batteries are at the end of their life.

It starts out fine, but at full throttle is only running at about 10mph. Going up hill speed is steady but reduced. I’ve driven several “older” carts at my local course and they are considerably faster. It’s not a race, but I’d like to keep up.

I ended up replacing the batteries with US Batteries and am getting about 12mph which is the cart spec. I’ve driven her up some pretty steep hills and don’t have near the speed reduction I had previously. I’m satisfied with the speed she’s at ... at least for now

I just put a D&D motor in my G8E. Incredible speed upgrade!
