Default Battery tray conversion

I have a customer with a 48 volt Yamaha with the 4 12 volt batteries. Is there a need to change out the battery tray to go with 6 8 volts. If so who has them?4

You can use 6 8 volts, but you will not be able to use an under seat storage tray.

small block are most yamaha battery trays the same? I am also looking into switching the batteries to 6 8 volts. Also what did you use to hold down the batteries in the middle. Does it matter what battery brand or will most fit?

All standard 8v batteries are same size. I don't think the ranger or traveler are taller, but not sure. Will have to drill holes for hold down rods, and add angle metal to front and back edges to secure batteries. There are 2 trays for Drives, one for 12v batteries, which can accept 6x 8v batteries easily. If your Drive was equipped with 8v from the factory, you can use 6x 8v batteries, or 8x 6v T-105.
