Default G9 goes slow

I recently got a 1992 Yamaha 36 volt G9 electric cart . has new batteries . goes slow in forward on even a slight incline, but, will go sufficiently faster on same incline in reverse. Any solutions or diagnostic procedures. Thanks

yes...look on top of the FnR switch under your seat...this is the device that turns when you move the lever for forward and reverse in case your new to this. On top of that there is a microswitch with two or three wires going to it...this just activates your reverse buzzer..pull both or all three wires off the microswitch and leave them disconnected...try cart now...

camaroluvz28 THANK YOU ! It runs much faster and pulls on incline much better.the 250 ohms resistor is missing by the solenoid. I was told by the guy at the golf cart shop that i didn't need it. Do I ? He said just connect the wires together.I thought maybe that was my slow go problem . Thanks again .

Will this work on a G2 as well? Do they have the same wiring? My cart runs faster in reverse

only way to find out is look to see if you have the 2 or 3 wires going to a microswitch by the f&r selector.
For what its worth I unhooked mine and then hooked it back up and its just as fast forward as reverse.
