Yes, 2 bad batteries could cause a short and cause the charger to pop the ac breaker.
You can put 2 used batteries into your old pack - if you can find them.
The only problem with putting new batteries into an old pack is that the new batteries get over charged and soon brought down to the level of the old majority... sort of a waste of $ if your pack is on it's way out?

How did you determine that just those 2 were bad?

I used a battery tester. I tested the individually pos to neg. Is there a better way to test them?

what were the readings for each battery?

Well I finally got it rollin again. I replaced all 6 batteries and all the cables. Thanks for all your help... this is all new to me!

good to hear. now go to carts unlimited site (a sponsor) and read up on proper batt break in and maintenance. especially since dcs carts hate it if you have low voltage.
