It is a 96 Series drivetrain with screwed up wiring, cables, and components. |

Re: ezgo electric wont move
Serial number = Model Year: 1996 Make/Model: Electric TXT Golf Car (DCS)
F/R switch is marked "Club Car", so it has definitely been modified. I'll have to bow out at this point since I know next to nothing about modified DCS carts and nothing about Club Cars. I see the G-Man spotted the CC logo also. |

Re: ezgo electric wont move
No offense to anyone in particular but that is a one of a kind golf cart.
Your best bet is to find the guy who Frankensteined the cart and have him go over the system, that should save somebody else hours of pouring over the cart trying to figure how it works. |

Re: ezgo electric wont move
there's no way of finding who did it. I bought it from buggies unlimited when they had a place in winchester, ky but that shop has since gone out of bussiness. Could it possibly be the controller or are there any steps to start tracking the problem down. I'm at a stand still. I know practically nothing about electric carts.

If it were mine, I would start from scratch and convert a DCS to a Series cart, using EZGO and aftermarket components compatible with EZGO, or sell the cart as is with full disclosure. From what I've read, you've got a new set of batteries, so they are probably good. The motor is probably good also, but I would check it out before I tossed any money at the stuff between the two. What is between the two is a Solenoid, a F/R switch, a Speed Controller and some Cables/Wiring. They all need to be replaced. If the cart's body, frame, tires/wheels, steering and suspension are in good shape, it might be worth the expense, but if they need work also, maybe not. Wish I could be of more help, John |
