Default 2002 TXT EZGO No power to on off switch

I have a 2002 cart that my new puppies eat the wires on. I have repaired all the wires and charged all 6 batteries back up to 37.5 volts. I turned the key switch back on and the cart will do nothing. I checked the switch with an ohm meter and it checks good. the f/r switches check good. The only thing that does not have power is the switch. Even the back up buzzer will not buzz because of no power. Need all the help I can get. Thanks

Coming out of the back of the charge receptacle is a small red/wht wire that brings power to the F&R M/S....this is where the secondary power circuit starts.

This wire is not on the cart anymore. Where should it be hooked up to. Thanks

Often it is eliminated & a wire is run from the F&R M/S straight to the battery main +. This becomes the source for the key switch etc.

After you get the cart repaired, please come back and explain this situation, LOL.

I guess my puppies pulled the whole wire, end connectors and all off the cart. Installed a new wire and the reverse buzzer came on. I told my wife that the wire fixed the problem. I had the cart up on blocks, so I turned everything back on and hit the gas paddle, nothing worked. Getting mad now!!! Started checking all the wires again. Finally pulled on the 4 wire pin connection coming from the gas paddle and everything worked. Some dummy (it must had been me) screwed the female side of the connector up with the ohm meter ends. Cart now works very well. Thank You Very Much Scottyb.

I'd slide something under your cart to keep the little critters from chewing on the wires! This could be a fire hazard, as well as possibly fatal to the chewer! It may be a bit of a pain to do this, but so is rewiring your cart!

Thanks for the input. Got rid of all the puppies to good homes. Solved the problem.

Cart ran good about 30 min. Checked batteries had 38.5 volts. Checked batteries with a load meter and found 4 bad batteries. Even if your batteries have good voltage it does not mean the batteries are good.
