Ok, try the test I suggested without your jumper connected. If it clicks and your cart drives normally, your solenoid is Ok. You will need to check through your activation circuit if you don't get a click with everything hooked back up as should be. And as I and " JohnnieB " both said, Please do not leave the solenoid jumped! It is hazardous in many ways!

broke down and bought a new solenoid popped it on and she runs like a champ Thanks for all the help fellas.

The problem with jumpering the large solenoid terminals is it takes the solenoid out of the power supply circuit. The Solenoid is the on/off switch for the battery main positive supply. Jumpering the solenoid provides + power to the controller.
If the cart runs like this, It does not confirm the solenoid is bad. The problem could still be in the solenoid activation circuit. And as JB said. You are bypassing the MAIN SAFETY power cut off. |
