ez go medalist cart....need help! newbie here!

Hello.... well im new to this site so I hope my question isn't a repeat.... here is my problem....went to get on my cart turned key pushed accelerator pedal...nothing. then as im pushing down it all of sudden takes off. Then on way back home from ride I was going down road and seems like someone just shut the key off. Waam...dead in street.

I can hear the mirco switch popping. Also can hear solenoid popping when I push pedal. Like normal however nothing happens.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Possible bad solenoid. It can click and still pass no current! When your cart stops, try jumping the two large posts on the solenoid and see if the cart will run. Easiest way to do this is with the alligator clamp on a pair of automotive jumper cables. Just make sure the other end doesn't touch anything metal! If the cart runs jumped, the solenoid is bad, if not check all your battery connections ( which I would do anyway ) and make sure they are clean to bright metal. Don't overtighten the nuts on the battery studs either! Snug with a short wrench is good.

Welll no luck...just jumped it and nothing.....could it be the throttle control under floor mat? If so how could I go about checking it.

Btw all connections are good...that's first thing I did.
