Upgrading 2000 EZGO DCS to 48 volts
I've read a lot about carts being upgraded from 36 to 48 volts and was wondering what the process was and the advantage.
I have a 2000 EZGO DCS running the stock 300amp controller and a D&D Motor, 170-500-0001. Aside from the obvious, change batteries, change charger and upgrade cables, do I need a different controller etc? Will I see a speed increase just from the increased voltage or is it just a longer runtime? Thanks |

Re: Upgrading 2000 EZGO DCS to 48 volts
You will need a controller cable of handling 48v and a solenoid capable of switching the loads.
You will see about a 30% increase in torque and speed. |
