Need Help with Charger
I have a l Ezgo-Textron Total Charge charger(made in 1991),that I am troubleshooting.Charger was flooded.Batteries are good-38.2 ------Charger works,but ammeter does not work,any way to check?

The ammeter is passing current or the batteries wouldn't charge, so the shunt part of the meter is good.
The low current ammeter that parallels the high current shunt is trash if it got wet, so it won't register the current passing through the shunt. However, the whole ammeter has to be replaced. You might try tapping on the faceplate while it is charging, the meter movement might just be stuck. |
