Re: Low voltage under load
Normal voltages are rest voltages. The under load voltage will vary with state of charge and the internal impedance of the batteries and cables.

TerryH Thanks for the info, glad to hear im not alone and I haven't caused any harm to the batteries. As for my right foot, I think I suffer from the same thing most of us on here do, very heavy right foot of course! Volt State of charge would be close 100% from the charts I have seen. 50.8-50.9 24hours after taking the charger off. You lost me with impedance of the batteries but the cables are 2 gauge excelene welding cable with pressed on copper lugs |

Re: Low voltage under load
Batteries have internal resistance (Impedance) and this causes a drop in voltage under load. The battery resistance and cable resistance add together to cause a voltage drop proportional to the current. The more amps you are drawing the more voltage is lost to resistance.

Thanks for the explanation volt, makes sense now! So I guess what I took from all this is its completely normal for voltages that low and will not cause any harm to the batteries. I would assume that if I had better batteries that could support the load better then I would see better performance due to the voltage not dropping off so far. Thanks for the help everyone!
