CC DS Steering Alignment
So I have installed the A arm lift and new tie rod ends on my CC DS and now i'm trying to determine if it is aligned in the center of the steering. it seems to turn sharper one way than the other and the steering wheel isn't centered if the wheels are positioned straight forward. Is there any suggestions as to how to align that? I'm guessing i need to remove the tie rod end coming off the steering box and then center the steering in the middle of cart, also in the middle of the steering box, so to speak, but that's where i'm getting intrigued. Can the steering box and the steering wheel logo be centered? Or is that only possible by removing the steering column piece that attaches to the box, centering it, then attaching it back on the box, with the box in the middle position. Thoughts? who's aligned there front end and can make sense of all this for me?
I have aligned the tires so that they measure the same distance in both the rear of the wheel and the front of the wheel, measuring across the cart, with it in the straight forward position. The steering is my next bugaboo. |
