motor upgrade
I have a IQ cart with a 500 amp controller with 2 gauge cables and a 400amp solenoid with 22 inch tires. I want to upgrade my stock motor now. What motor should i up grade to? i want 30mph with good torque. Any recommendations or does any one have my same setup? my stock motor is currently doing 21mph with all right torque. i use my cart for deer hunting and riding in the woods.

Re: motor upgrade
call plum quick they will hook you up . to do 30mph w/o a rear gear change you will loose some of your toque with only a 500 controller

Re: motor upgrade
I have the same setup which is off road only. I went with the D&D high torque very pleased with it. Not saying it is the best but does more than what I expected. Installing Jakes L.T. lift on it now. Can not wait to try it out.

Re: motor upgrade
What speed are you getting out of that D&D motor ? And what size controller are you using.

Re: motor upgrade
Never checked the speed was more concerned about torque. Which has plenty with a 500 Alltrax. It will run faster than what I want to go off road.

Re: motor upgrade
Speed and torque are a trade off. Remember this when comparing motors. A motor made for 30mph will not be happy climbing steep hills with a load on.

Re: motor upgrade
Paying $600 for a high torque motor getting 25mph, compared to the bandit for $225 getting the same speed and gaining a little more torque. Sounds like a no brainer but how much more torque would I get compared to a bandit motor?
