Re: 99 txt neutral?
Should be a neutral lockout on the plate behind the shift knob or back on the transmission where the cable connect. Engage that until it warms up and then it may shift correctly..

Re: 99 txt neutral?
My 97 doesn't really have an official neutral position. I just ease it between the gears and it sort of sits there.

Re: 99 txt neutral?
mine has neutral i have a 1998 rear axle/diff- me29 axle mine takes a little strong arming but it will switch through all FNR gears. there is a certain way you have to set the nut that holds the cap over the spring. if you have the dual spring/cable setup like i do then it has to adjusted to the correct dept .. if that doesnt work also might try getting a dirt bike/atv cable luber and lube the cables and make sure there not in a bind of any sort .. or it may be somthing jacked up in the diff of the axle

One of the cables was stuck in a rubber boot, works good now! Thanks for the input
