Default 1995 yamaha G9 governor bypass question

I've bypassed my governor now I'm wondering what I do with the arm on the top of the rear end where the cable was originally attached I can't seem to find this part of the bypass process anywhere??
Thanks in advance

If you hooked the accelerator cable directly to the carb, then that's all you need to do. You can remove the arm from the governor if you wish, but if its not hooked to anything it won't have any function.

Be careful not to "overrev" the engine..... Stock engines are only good to about 4000 rpm before the valves start to float. Once that happens its a matter of time before catastrophic damage occurs.

Hey thanks for the reply I didn't know if I should fasten it somehow solid one way or another.. I'm thinking I will ad a tach just to be safe but the cart will not be doing any crazy revving or hard running.. Anyone got a suggestion for a tach?
Thanks again for the reply

I unhook the 2-cables,and link them together with a small plate that I make up.It makes re-hooking it simple if needed, and usually no cable adjustments are needed.Just measure the spacing between the 2 cable pin-centers,and drill the holes the size of the pin.Leave the govenor arm as-is,don't tie it off,as it will cause damage internally.Hope this helps.

Yes, the internal parts of the governor will still be intact, so if you fasten that governor lever/shaft the parts inside will want to move and won't be able to. DO NOT FASTEN THAT GOVERNOR SHAFT.

That plate idea is pretty cool. Any pics of that Pachanga?

Any suggestions on a tach? Did some searching but it's kind of a unfinished subject from what I've found any first hand reviews?

The Equus 8068 works well with the Vanguard, and is adjustable for 1-12 cylinders. It has an inductive pick-up that clamps onto the plug wire.
