Gas G29 Drive rear bearing removal

we have removed the hub off shaft , retainer clip , bearing is bad , how do you remove the bearing , can you rig something to use the wheel nut to pull shaft out . is there anything holding shaft in that needs to be removed . bearing is bad and had transmission fluid leak out at bearing , is there any other seals that will need to be replaced . anyone have a parts diagram of this area. any help would be appreciated

I would sure hope that the transaxle doesn't have to be split to access the bearings. Cgtech will chime in hopefully. Him being a yamaha cart machanic I'm sure he has done a few in his day.

You do have to split the case in half to access the bearings on the Team transaxle.

Not true, the axle shaft & bearing should be able to be pulled out once large snap ring is removed. Nothing inside axle holding axle shaft. Unfortunately, replacing the bearing is going to do nothing for your oil leak, and the seals are only accessable from inside axle :(...

Sorry for giving bad information. I ment to say you have to tear axle apart to replace seals.

was able to pull shaft out , bearing broken, outer portion removal looks like may be an issue nothing to grab onto since it is the portion that was cracked . Any ideas on removal , is cutting with die grinder and idea , anything simpler ?

so it sounds like if a leak of fluid then im going to have to open the transmission case to replace the seal , no other option . i assume transmission fluid should not be behind the new bearing , seemed to be a weep hole behind the bearing on bottom which is where fluid came out . Seems like job getting bigger

Very nice exploded view, great work! Outer race is cracked? Ouch... I have welded a bead inside the race to shrink it before, but never with a broken bearing race. Hmmmmm.
