Default G8 couple things

G8 fresh engine build, all new fuel lines, new start/gen,
engine is in cart as it came from the factory with the airbox intact etc.

first thing is I am curious if the fuel filter should be full of fuel like my G29 is?

also when I step on the gas to get it running it takes a second and then will idle but when I step on it it slowly comes to life and sounds really doggy.
I took it for a ride and it would run better with the choke pulled. I have been through the carb.... it is clean as a whistle. carb adjustment screws? I will be checking valve lash again tonight but im stumped on this one

Most likely the fuel filter will not be full. Hesitation to start is useually low battery/ or starter brushes. Choking to run better is useually an air box sealing problem. really one one adjustment on the carb, the air mixture screw, turn in till lightly seated then 1 1/2 turns out.

it amazed me when I plugged the void in the airbox how well this thing ran. I would have never guessed that a little to much air would have that drastic of an effect on how it runs
thanks guys
