Question G1 runs in Forward but not in Reverse!

Just got a G1 and new to golf carts in general. It will start and run in forward but not in reverse. In reverse when the pedal is depressed it just clicks. Well I reversed the forward / reverse solenoid cables on the starter (with the key on forward) and it turned the engine in reverse. Does this mean that the reverse solenoid is bad?

The small wires on the solenoid I believe one is brown and other is blue and if it starts forward while key is in reverse that points to solenoid

There are 2 solenoids, one for
Forward and one for reverse.

Yes if you switch the "signal" wires that activates the solenoid so forward is reverse and reverse is forward and the same one still doesn't work then it's a bad solenoid this test insures that it's not bad wiring

Finally bridged the reverse starter over and it started, apparently it was stuck. It has started in reverse since.

Great test Spicy! I am about to try this on my cart with 1 known bad solenoid. I am hopeful the other one will work and I can at least rig it in the forward position and finally drive the thing lol.
