Warning Light Flashes Twice - '98 Club Car DS 48v
Sometimes I've noticed the Warning Light (amber) flashes twice (slowly) after I turn the cart on. T
he controller is working normally and the batteries are about 2 months old. Per the analog charge meter, the batteries are getting a "full" charge. I've tried searching all the threads, read the manual, etc., but can't seem to find an answer to what the two flashes mean. Can someone tell me what the two warning light flashes mean... and why it doesn't happen all the time? Thanks! |

You may want to wait a while to see a reply (3 days is too short ).... We all have other jobs, too...
The light is triggered by the OBC. It looks like your charge is less than 90% or you lost AC power while charging. What type charger are you using? |

I guess I was too impatient... wife wouldn't be surprised about that. :-)
It does sound like the OBC even though it does charge correctly. Again, the analog 48v charge meter I installed on the dash does state that the batteries are charged. And the charger is cycling when I plug it in like it should and shutting off when it should. Well, actually, there have been a few times in the last 50 chargers where it didn't shut off... So not sure what to think about that. I'm a bit hesitant to just throw in a new OBC if it's taking a good charge. Maybe I'll just "let it ride" until I see more non-shut-off charger events. FYI, the batteries are only a few months old. Thanks again for any additional thoughts, ideas, advice, etc. Eric |

Is it an OEM Powerdrive charger?
You do need to reset your OBC. Remove the Main Pack Neg cable and place it in reverse and depress the Go Pedal for ~30 seconds or until you no longer hear the Reverse Buzzer. Turn everything back off, reconnect the cable and then reconnect the charger and let it do a complete charge. Wait 12 hours after the charge fully completed and use a digital colt meter to check the pack charge prior to moving it. It should be at least 50.93 volts. |

Yep... OEM Powerdrive Charger.
Thanks so much! I'll try that today. |

Reset the OBC per your instructions, then charged completely. 15 hours later, the batteries read 52.0 volts. No warning light came on.
Hopefully this "fixed" it! Thanks again for your help. Eric |
