I have to agree! I think when I get off my but I'll pull it apart and turn the ring ,, and see what the gains are in forward even if it wont run in reverse. Then I'll have a good starting point, and know if it's even worth the trouble. When I ran the timing light on it I got about 22 deg forward and 25 ish in reverse so either way I'ed like to change that up a bit. Being that the motor doesn't run that high of an RPM I think it would have some torque gains from more timing lead. Providing it will start and not ping all the time

Standard timing from factory is 18 deg forward and 21 reverse your already at 22 deg a +4 deg advance. Where to go from there? +8
