Hi Karen
I have recently spoken with the machinist that I am having do this work for me and he has stated that he hopes to have a set made for me by the end of Sept. I am sure that the gears you are needing are the same that Carson 624 & I are referring to. Keep in mind the gears that we are needing are helical (angled teeth) and my guy can only produce the straight teeth. I had in the past contacted a firm in Pa that could produce these gears but the price was so prohibitive ($3-4K) that I could not entertain those thoughts. I am still needing these gears as I am getting a high shrill sound from the trans. Almost intolerable. I recently purchased another ST 4x4 with more hours on it that is so quiet that it concerns me the other way. Like you husband I too live these machines. I wish somebody would and could be able to start a bone yard just for these. Until then we can just keep searching.
I will keep this forum informed of any updates.

Howdy all! Dug this post up because I didn't want to start a new thread, but I'm on the hunt for rear axle bearings for one of these ST 4x4s.

They don't appear to be listed in the linked parts manual, just axle assemblies. It's a pretty thin bearing, is about all I can tell; mine are mangled beyond recognition.

Does anybody have a number or cross-reference for a rear axle bearing? I'd sure be appreciative.
