Default 48v to 12 v reducer

im want to add neon lights under my cart. I have a 48v to 12v reducer. I am looking for a way toadd the reducer so it is keyed. That way the kids dont leave the lights on. Thanks for any help. The cart is a precedent.

Perhaps a simple relay hooked up to the keyed switch? Does the car have a factory USB bank? Which reducer did you get?

The reduce i got is 4 wires. Two go to the first and last battery and the other 2 wires are your reducer wires

That's how I hooked up mine.
Be sure to get a 48v relay.

Here are diagrams that you can follow. The number of the reducer you need is shown in the reducer picture. Get it from Mouser Electronics or many other suppliers,
