02 DS 48 volt Failed Controller
02 Club Car DS 48 volt. Solenoid just clicks when pushing pedal in forward or reverse. I believe the controller has failed. MCOR inputs check out good 7,700 ohms at no throttle and 1,700 ohms at full throttle. I'm getting full battery pack voltage at red spade connector to controller and FNR switches check out good.
Has the factory Curtis 1204-412 300amp 4 prong controller (A2 terminal) controller but when checking out put from controller on B+ an M- under full throttle it's barely 12 volts. If the controller has failed should I send my controller out to be rebuilt? If so any suggestions? Also can the upgrade the controller voltage during the rebuild? Maybe to 400amps? Or would now be the time to upgrade to an aftermarket controller? If so would I notice any speed gains without upgrading the motor too? Thank for your help! |
