1985 EZGo Marathon cooling fan

The cooling fan on my 1985 EZGo marathon shattered and I'm trying to find a replacement. I don't see anything that is explicitly for a 1985 model. From reading one of the sticky threads, I assume that my engine is a "2pg"but I'm not 100% on that. I've been considering a few options.

1- I found a "1978 EZGO Golf Cart Flywheel Cooling Fan 244cc motor 2 Stroke Engine EC25-DS". I'm wondering if this would work.

2- I see various aftermarket fans that aren't for this model. I'm wondering if it is reasonable to assume I could modify them to fit my cart.

Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

There should be an ID tag on top of the engine under the starter that will confirm the year of it, if it's an 85 then yes it's a 2PG. I don't know if a 78 fan would be the same, kinda doubt it since it has points rather than electronic ignition. Maybe the flywheel is different or maybe not?? ......

But, I would definitely look into it if that's all you can find. Take yours to compare if it's local, or get measurements, bolt pattern, pics, etc and perhaps it could be modified to fit if need be...
