Exclamation Oil pouring out as soon as you add it Kawasaki KF82

Finally got my first cart 1990 (guessing as it has a remanufactered tag and codes don’t add up)Club Car DS. I knew it was a project but looking for some thoughts on my problem. When oil is added it’s slowly pours out from the bottom of the motor I’m not sure where as it is between the mounting plate and engine. It looks to be on the drivers side as I see some oil on the mount bolt the only thought I have is the crank case seal could be bad or there could be a crack. Any help is appreciated, I was thinking of pulling the motor when I get the book in but if I don’t need to that would be great.

Really not that hard to just pull the motor. Put it on a bench and get everything cleaned up, disassemble and fix the leak.
I would guess the front case gasket is torn or blown out.
Worst case would be something inside the motor tried to get out, and made itself an escape hole.

I didn’t know what’s involved with pulling the motor as I’m waiting on the manual to arrive Monday. I’m hoping it is a just a gasket. Anything else I should look for or replace when I pull it?

If as your pouring the oil in, its coming out?
Not the head gasket and not the side case gasket.

Most common would be the drain plug, but Im sure you checked that.

Cracked block is what it sounds like. That motor does come out easy (20Min) If you go by the manual im sur it will be longer.

Thank you golf cart guy that’s what I was thinking as well. I got the manual yesterday so now I’ll pull it out and see how bad it is.

But if the internal problem is repairable, the block can be welded by a reputable welder.

Yes it’s something internal the block sounds like a maraca haha I contacted the place in St. Louis that does the rebuild engines and they said it’s repairable and will rebuild what needs and refurbish the engine for 700 and what ever is needed for what is broken. I don’t know of any places near me. So I found them online.

Well the genie tried to escape from that one!
The block I’m sure is fixable, not so sure about the crankshaft, but if the rebuilder says they can do it then it may be worth a shot.

Springbok had mentioned a rebuilder for those motors not too long ago, but I can’t recall the name of the business. I think he had a similar issue and they tools care of it and reworked the crankshaft and put an undersized rod in it. Maybe he’ll see the thread and reply with who did that work. He knows a ton about the KF flathead motors.
