Default Troubleshooting: Electric brake not working; Cart rolls when parked on hills/pushed

If your electric brake is not working well/correctly, there are two hex head screws on the passenger-side of the electric motor that need to be loose.

I believe there are 3 that should be tight (marked by a red dot usually) and 2 that need to be some level of loose, but not fully tight!

I found this out the other day when installing spacers and noticed those 2 hex screws were loose, which made me nervous, so I just tightened them down and now my cart rolls all over the place whenever I park it.

The dealer's mechanic came out and loosened those two and things were perfect again. I had no idea, but now we know.

hmmm, mine are tight (and I did not tighten them, and they worked before).

Will try loosening them and see what happens.

Thanks

So at first I loosened the wrong ones with no luck, came back and looked at your picture and saw what you were referencing.

Loosened the 2 identified and it fixed the problem. I then hand tightened as much as I could and the brake still works as designed.

Will keep an Eye on it and update!

Thanks

That's great to hear! I should have tried for a better picture.

If I remember, there are 5 screws and 2 of them are smaller than the other 3. The other 3, I think, were in a triangle pattern and had a dot marking them, so you'd want the 2 smaller, unmarked ones.
