The blue Veego reducer has a radio memory power supply. This means that it is always on a little bit to supply a few volts to the radio so it can save the station presets like your car does. If you use a relay to completely cut power you will avoid any draw when not in use but you will also defeat the radio memory feature. Hope this helps
