Wanting to paint the top with truck bed liner (white) inside and out. Has anyone done that before? Seat frame will be ground down and re-painted and the cushions redone to match the fronts (white/burgundy) |

I bought duplicolor brand at an auto parts store. I used krylon fusion paint on mine.

i just got some dupli color bed liner "black"spray for my top and plan on spraying it monday or tues.. they didnt have the adhesion promotor i read about so mine is gettin cleaned and scuffed up with some sandpaper and gettin sprayed.
bud,,if it makes ya feel better my shop is much much more clutered than yours mine is a mess big time.. top is lookin good too! |

If you dont use adhesion promoter on plastic nothing will stick to it.

ive never used it in my life,but figured id try to do it right..
what about wipeing it down with laquer thinner,or alcohol ? or mineral spirits? |

i just been searching on line and most everyone,and video i see dont use promoter with duplicolor..they say it sticks to the vinyl very well..seen plastics on a few street bikes and they act like its holding up vry well with just sanding before painting..ive painted car door panels for yrs with duplicolor plastic paint with great results also..this sucks! wait a week and get promotor or just do it like always? im thinkin on it lol..

Don't think too long I am going to paint my top also. Good info. I painted the interior plastic panels in a pickup I had years ago. Just used the paint made for the plastic. Stayed on and looked good, don't remember doing anything other than cleaning it up and shootin' it. I'll be
